Eat Me: Makoto

I love winter break because I get to try delicious new foods and being spoiled. And I was treated to this adorable cute restaurant called Makoto. A small but cozy restaurant where you must take off your shoes to slip into some slippers. And turning off your cell phones are a must!

Belated

A couple of pictures from my 21st birthday! I am a cupcake fiend.. if you couldn't tell.. haha.

I'm definetely getting back to myself again. I'm starting some goals of mine to start working on my project and my business. I shouldn't just focus on school... because school isn't life. I need to find something outside of school. And I feel like I will. I've been optimistic, and I think this optimism will stick around for a while. I'm making changes in my life. And I'm happy about them.

Lovin myself makes me wanna sing, oh!

It's already Monday! Ah! Time is still continuing to fly by. I'm four days away from moving back to school. Not so sure how I feel about that yet. lol. I had an awesome super sweet weekend filled with good food, music, friends and family.
+ Went to the DCfest concert with Francesca Battistelli, Amy Grant, and other bands. I thought I wasn't going to enjoy it that much. But I really liked it. :) Things are changing.. for me.. and I think its making me a better person.
+Spent an amazing Sunday with my great friends, Emily and Cassy. We hit up Bahama Breeze , which was my first time there, The crab, shrimp, and avocado stack.. haha. So not an original name for a dip, but it was delish! And there pan seared salmon pasta, amazing. haha.. I am sucha foodie.
+And this song.. Riding Solo by Jason Derulo.. It's my anthem for now thanks to Emily. And yes the lyrics are the title to this post.
+ I got the lovely stylish blogger award from Sheena from The Layered Pancake. Thank you so much. I really really appreciate it so much!
I nominate: Bella Gets Real , Barbie Junk, and Passport Glamour .

Have a wonderful week!! Love you all!! :) <3

Sweet Toof

I don't know if you've noticed, but I LOVE sweets, I have the biggest sweet tooth evarr!! And in Taiwan we ate a lot of desserts that I didn't post up, because it was just to ridiculous to have so many desserts up. But I thought today was fitting for some reason.

Trying to make my blog better, and I'm going to try to come up with more fashion posts later on. I just get so bored of seeing the same things, and I haven't really been impressed by any campaigns or fashion concepts lately. And I also don't want to be a blog that posts things up that have been posted a million times.

I hope everyone has a sweet weekend! :) I'll be hanging out with my best friends, and enjoying great food and wonderful company.

Delish

It has been a while that I've done a personal post about food, and the things I've done. This summer has really been a busy one, and it doesn't seem as if it will stop anytime soon. So much has happened, for one my mother's birthday was yesterday and we got to celebrate with lunch at wong ping, which is a fancy restuarant(I hardly ever go to fanchy schmancy places)! The salmon roll salad, and the cod, and prawn are shown above, the cod was served a top of mashed potatoes. It was very delicious. Also celebrated my little cousin's birthday at the Hello Kitty Restaurant the weekend earlier! Isn't it so adorable?! Just a lot of things going on, with family, classes, internship, and the "soul-searching" of a soon-to-be-graduate-in-one-year.

PS I'm going to South Korea on Monday!! Totally unexpected, but it's really exciting!! Anyone know anything fun to to do, I'll only be there for two nights!!

I hope everyone's having a wonderful week!! And has a great weekend!! :)

Delicious

My first time eating macaroons: Green Tea, and Passion Fruit flavored. So delicious. It was a super tiny adorable bakery, that I hopefully will visit again, so that I can try their other delicious macaroons

Haven't done a non-resort post in a while, so I decided to put this up, this was a couple of days ago. The internship is pretty much taken up all my time, so the weekends are my time to relax and travel Taiwan. I've been trying to blog everyday, and so far I have been successful in doing so except for the weekends. And my goal for the rest of the summer is to try to stay away from the internet, except for blogging. lol. So that I can get my other projects finished too.

How's everyone else's summer?

What may be my very last meal...

Shanghai Chinese Cuisine, delicious dumplings.

Delicious minced shrimp, w/ some crunchy roll things in a lettuce. lol. Essentially a lettuce wrap.

This doesn't really look that great, butttt, it's delicious stinky tofu, okay.. that also doesn't sound appetizing.. but its delicious. TRUST! haha.

I just got two of my wisdom teeth pulled out. I just felt like getting it done and over with. Maybe not the smartest idea since my internship began today. But hey, whatever, it's done and over with and I'm happy about it, well.. I will be happy about it in two weeks or so. But I guess it's diet time. lmfao, just kidding! But yesterday's meal may be the last full meal I eat. I literally ate some congee, and that was it today. And I'm starving... and I want to eat these wontons my mom made except its too hot, and I need to wait to eat it since hot foods aren't good for open wounds. ok wow rant much...

Have a great day everyone!!!

Rue 216

French cuisine in Taiwan?!?! Yep, pretty much, this was my first time visiting Rue 216. And it was overall a pretty good experience, I really liked the decor. Garlic bread, made with real garlic, is just delicious, plain and simple. It didn't hurt that the main course was delicious! Okay, so I need a dictionary because I use delicious too much. But its the truth, the fried fish with the rice mixed in with raisins, and pine nuts, is absolutely scrumptious. And the grilled bamboo was amazing as well. Everything else wasn't as memorable, but I definitely enjoyed the main course. Definitely hope to enjoy some wine or beer here sometime too.

Delicious-ness to the nth power

This is what a real meal consists of! :D In Taiwan, meals usually consist of appetizers, sides, main course and desserts! The Japanese restaurant doesn't really have an English name but its called Hachioji Japanese Cuisine. Salad, with fish skin in it, and papaya, and other vegetation that is delicious. The sashimi, was delicious, it was slightly touched by a small flame so it was a bit cooked but still raw. Tempura eggplant, mushroom and fish. The scallop and mushroom, as well as the Taiwanese eggplant. And a pork hotpot, filled with mushrooms, tofu, and vegetables. There was also a rice and soup that aren't pictured here. Lastly, there were pineapples I love how they cut it, with a mochi filled w/ a red bean and another bean that I forgot the name of. Finished with a cup of matcha green tea. Yum! More pictures of the Young Designers Expo tomorrow!
