The Loot: Part 2

Finally uploaded these pictures. This isn't all of the clothing I bought from my trip to Taiwan and Korea. But I have been procrastinating taking these photos since forever, so I thought I'd put up the ones that I have. :) These photos really don't do justice to the fit and quality of the garments. They fit like a dream! I'm really happy because they can be worn in the summer, while also transitioning into fall.

UPDATES

+ I've become a Shop It To Me trendsetter!! I've been a long subscriber to Shop It To Me, you select the brands and price point you are willing to spend. Then they send you an email that looks like the below: (lol I'm bad at describing things, so a photo was better! )

Sign up for Shop It To Me! Its free, and it saves you A LOT of time!!

+ Doing a lot of cleaning and organizing. It feels like I can't get things cleaned or organized. I was so frustrated yesterday. But lots of photos of before and afters once I'm completed with things.

+ I'm working on sewing some little projects! And I can't wait to share them with you. I'm really happy because I'm really inspired to create things, which has really been placed on the back burner.

Happy Happy Hump Day!! How's your week going? I hope wonderfully! :)

PS: I was not paid to advertise or mention shop it to me!

Lets go on an adventure!

I really want to travel the world at this moment in time. I want to adventure into exotic lands. I just want to go somewhere I've never been before. These photos really inspire me. Even though I'm currently in Taiwan, and have gone to Korea this summer... I still would love to visit Spain and Italy! Especially after reading eat, pray and love, I just want to visit places that are exotic, and different.

What summer adventures have you guys been on?!

The Loot: Part 1

Makeup post! :) I have been trying to purchase and actually use more makeup these days. Even though the summer heat, really doesn't inspire me to make up my face. But when I choose, I put some mascara, concealer, and blush on.

The first three photos are my makeup/ nail polish that I purchased from Korea, while the fiberwig mascara I purchased here, in Taiwan. I JUST discovered skin food, which is like a makeup store! Well actually, I bought nail polish in Taiwan that was called skin food and had no idea what that was until I went to Korea! The prices are AHMAZING, say hello to $1.50 quality nailpolish. And the grapefruit nail polish remover, is delicious, after you put it on your nails your finger tips smell like grapefruit. Amazing, and no I wasn't paid to advertise for them. But dang.. I was blown away/ kinda still am.

Seoul, Korea

This was a jam-packed two day escape to Seoul, Korea. From metro-ing to DongDaeMun to eating in Sinchon. Dongdaemun is an amazing shopping heaven. Didn't really get a chance to get many photos of the inside of shopping heaven since I was blinded by the array of clothing, and the amazing prices, and oh yeah bargaining!! Also stopped at the Gyeongbokgung palace! And yes I even ate chili cheese fries, which were amazing, from Kraze Burger, If I could, I would eat that and their tomato and mozzarella sandwich everyday! NOM!

Too be honest, I wish I had more time to explore Korea!! Next time I plan on staying for a week or longer!! I absolutely adore and love Korea. :)

More photos on my flickr!!

More photos of my purchases in my next blog post!!

Delish

It has been a while that I've done a personal post about food, and the things I've done. This summer has really been a busy one, and it doesn't seem as if it will stop anytime soon. So much has happened, for one my mother's birthday was yesterday and we got to celebrate with lunch at wong ping, which is a fancy restuarant(I hardly ever go to fanchy schmancy places)! The salmon roll salad, and the cod, and prawn are shown above, the cod was served a top of mashed potatoes. It was very delicious. Also celebrated my little cousin's birthday at the Hello Kitty Restaurant the weekend earlier! Isn't it so adorable?! Just a lot of things going on, with family, classes, internship, and the "soul-searching" of a soon-to-be-graduate-in-one-year.

PS I'm going to South Korea on Monday!! Totally unexpected, but it's really exciting!! Anyone know anything fun to to do, I'll only be there for two nights!!

I hope everyone's having a wonderful week!! And has a great weekend!! :)

Le Defile

A video of the exhibit, courtesy of the Taipei Fine Arts Museum.

Some of my favorites from the exhibit.. didn't really get a chance to take many quality pics.

They had these photo cut-outs of some of the exhibits costumes. I thought it was really funny.

I'm really lucky to currently be in Taiwan at this time. Because the exhibit of Jean Paul Gaultier's and Regine Chopinot's costumes have come here, and will be exhibiting until August. I was really excited to hear about this, and of course I had to go! :) It was an amazing experience to just see the clothes, and see what they were made of, and how they were put together, and just everything. I was also lucky enough to go today, because we were also able to get a tour of the art exhibit from the fashion design head of department for Shih Chien University which is a well known fashion university here in Taipei. It was a great experience for me, and I really enjoyed it. I also took some pictures... which I'm really not sure if I was supposed to so the quality of some of them aren't that great.

Delicious

My first time eating macaroons: Green Tea, and Passion Fruit flavored. So delicious. It was a super tiny adorable bakery, that I hopefully will visit again, so that I can try their other delicious macaroons

Haven't done a non-resort post in a while, so I decided to put this up, this was a couple of days ago. The internship is pretty much taken up all my time, so the weekends are my time to relax and travel Taiwan. I've been trying to blog everyday, and so far I have been successful in doing so except for the weekends. And my goal for the rest of the summer is to try to stay away from the internet, except for blogging. lol. So that I can get my other projects finished too.

How's everyone else's summer?

Gud Fud # 1 - Din Tai Fung

closeup of the dumplin man

eating delicious dumplings.

I have been really loving Taiwan, and all the good food to devour. I'm staying in Taipei, and it has been a blast so far. I'll be putting photos of what I purchased a little later. The first day back I got to eat Din Tai Fung, which is my favorite dumpling restaurant in the world. It is one of the most popular places to eat for all tourists. But regardless of that I absolutely love their dumplings. I usually get the sweet and sour soup, which is much better than the Chinese restaurants in the states, as well as their fried rice. But the main reasons why I go to eat at Din Tai Fung are for there signature pork soup dumplings, and their vegetable and pork dumplings. They recently added a new one, which I forget the name of but is a Chinese squash and shrimp dumpling. Which is absolutely delicious. Check out the menu! Oh, and my favorite location is that of : Zhongxiao which is located here: No. 218 Zhongxiao East Road Sec. 4.

Alot of things have been happening lately. I went to Canada for the memorial day weekend. It was fun. I ate so much food... but it was so good... And got to eat at my favorite resturants and drank some nice tea, hence the pic. I spent time with family and did a bit of shopping but I didn't really buy anything. Except we went to this store called Winners and its like a Ross, in America, and It was fantastic. I only got a cardigan though, but its really cute! and the funny thing is its made in the usa. :)
And I was so excited I got to see the H&M in Canada and its huge. And their were billboards of Matthew Williamson's collection! and some of his collection was there. And I wish they had more of the women's collection because I am absolutely in love with it. I might have to go to New York for Topshop, fred flare, and h&m... hmm road trip!
I also started summer school, art history I, and jewelry making&metalsmithing! Its only been three days of class.. and I am just exhausted. Two hours of Art History in the morning, and 4 hours of jewelry making&metalsmithing. Metalsmithing is very labor intensive and difficult. And I am not dropping any of these classes. I have to finish it.. because I want to acquire the skills of metalsmithing.
Lastly, to add to this mega post, my favorite show: So You Think You Can Dance! is back!! :D And I am watching it as we speak.

Anyways peace.

So this is a great invention a cheescake stick. isn't it amazing? well anyways i think its great, and yummy.

My favorite food that Taiwan only has.. it is a hakka dumpling, and this restuarant was amazing, and really cute shaped.
