Eat Me: Makoto

I love winter break because I get to try delicious new foods and being spoiled. And I was treated to this adorable cute restaurant called Makoto. A small but cozy restaurant where you must take off your shoes to slip into some slippers. And turning off your cell phones are a must!

We started off with a mussel soup which was absolutely delicious. The food at Makoto is prepared fresh every day. So the menu changes daily, you honestly don't know what you get until it gets to your table! We ordered the lunch box. It was so delicious having such a variety of fresh seafood to eat. We had soup, 3 side dishes, a chicken dish, the lunch box and the yummy shaved ice (and the flavors vary each day!). For our lunch box we had tuna sashimi, salmon, bass and a veggie dish.

I loved the experience of such a small and cozy restuarant. It was definetely fun to experience as it is an authentic Japanese restaurant, the chef as well as the waitresses are all Japanese. I hope you guys can give it a try! Let me know if you ever want to go to Makoto, I'll be game! :)
